Родена в Стара Загора през 1982 г. Завършва Художествена академия в Болоня, където живее и работи. През последните години нейното мултимедийно търсене се насочва към фотографията. Много от нейните творби отразяват със студена точност обикновени, но и особени по своят характер предмети; изследването върху нюансите на приликите, чиято борба срещу призраците на завладелите съзнанието нови идоли, е загубена.

Born in Stara Zagora in 1982, she graduated in decoration at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna, where she lives and works. In recent years, her multimedia research has often made use of photographic language. Most of her works show common but peculiar object, with an algid punctuality; a study about the tone of the similarity, the purpose is the loss in a fight against well known ghosts in the awareness of the new idols.

Nata a Stara Zagora nel 1982 si è diplomata in decorazione all’Accademia di Belle Arti di Bologna dove vive e lavora. La sua è una ricerca multimediale che negli ultimi anni si è volentieri avvalsa della dimensione fotografica. Molti dei suoi lavori ritraggono con algida puntualità oggetti comuni ma peculiari; un’indagine sulle sfumature del somigliare, il cui
presupposto è lo smarrimento in una lotta contro noti spettri, nell’agghiacciante presa di coscienza dei nuovi idoli.

Née à Stara Zagora en 1982. Fait ses études a l’Ecole des Beaux Arts de Bologne en Italie où elle vit et travaille actuellement. Comme moyen d’expression pour ses plus récentes œuvres, Mariya Gyukova a choisi la photographie. Son travail consiste à représenter des objets de notre quotidien qui, sous l’exactitude froide de l’objectif, dévoilent leur caractère spécifique. Ses photographies explorent les nuances des ressemblances entre les objets photographiés, mais aussi un passé qui s’efface sous l’emprise des visions de nouvelles idoles.
